Townhouse great value -
I like the Townhouse. It's well located. Parking good and easy. Handy for town and easy to find. Bedroom was superb. Spotless and well appointed. THe dining room was a good innovation and great for business folk on the move with its self serve buffet and free cake and coffee. Friendly staff. I would recommend and return. If I had to make a criticism I would say the tv was a bit on the small side but as there's rarely anything worth watching and the wifi was excellent it wouldn't stop me giving 5 out of 5

Shopping trip -
Spent one night with my daughter for a shopping trip in Truro. The room was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The owner tools the trouble to show us around the room, showing us where everything was kept and how the shower worked (very useful as they all seem to be different in hotels and can be frustrating getting them to work). We enjoyed home-made cake and coffee on arrival and the 'help yourself' breakfast was plentiful. The b&b is well located and only a five minute walk to the centre of Truro (little bit longer coming back as uphill). Looking forward to returning.

This last occasion was the first time on my own, and my wife readily agrees. Sadly, the next time we stay will be our last visit, as we will shortly move into our new home in Truro.I can't recommend Townhouse Rooms highly enough!

Wonderful attention to detail! -
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Townhouse Rooms. The welcome was warm and the room itself was lovely. Our room was large and had a view of the garden, and it was extremely comfortable. Everything we could hope for from a hotel was there:ironing board, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities. The towels and bed linen were good quality and towels changed twice during our stay. Breakfast was continental and offered a good selection. Plus - afternoon cake! Who could ask for more? Warmly recommended!

Very comfortable stay -
I stayed for 2 nights as a first time visitor for work in Truro and found this place to be excellent. It's a short walk into the town centre. There is also some parking on site. While there is not a restaurant on site, the buffet continental breakfast available is lovely and the dining room is available to use at other times for a cup of tea and some freshly baked cakes available to guests in the afternoon or indeed use of the dining room , fridge/microwave, delf and cutlery for an evening meal/take away if you don't fancy going out for food. I was very well looked after with friendly and accommodating staff. Would recommend highly.

Townhouse Rooms is well located with a short 5 min walk into Truro itself. If you are feeling tired after a long day's activities then a bus stops virtually outside. Hello thank you very much for staying with us and for yourkind words. Sorry you thought the lighting was too subdued!there are 4 table lamps and 4 wall lights in the Four Posterroom but if you had needed more we would have been onlytoo pleased to have provide more had we known, and parkingspaces are free and ample providing guests park with othersin mind, still we do hope that these items you mentioned will notput you off returning again and look forward to seeing you if you do.

An Enthusiastic Guest -
On my arrival, I found the person at reception welcoming, and extremely helpful. I was shown the facilities available for breakfast, and the fridge where guests may place items of food. I was also asked if I planned to go out for supper, and I was given a map on which the locations of a number of restaurants withineasy walking distance were marked. I then remarked casually that it was cooler than I had expected and I had not brought a warm garment.I was then shown to my room, which was comfortable, and carefully thought out to provide all the facilities which might required by guests. Shortly afterwards there was a knock on the door and I was offered the loan of a warm jacket as i was going out for supper.Overall I was most impressed, and would certainly be happy to return.

Perfecte ligging !! -

Wonderful time in Truro -
We really enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Townhouse Rooms. Excellent location, with some great restaurants and excellent shopping down the road. Quite a steep hill coming back but that can only be a plus after eating as much as we did. Our room was excellent and I can't speak highly enough about June and Greg, the owners. We would certainly return.

Perfect Location! -
We stayed here for one night to explore the city, only a few minutes walk to the centre. Friendly welcome, lovely idea to have the kitchen and dining area to use. We enjoyed the informal breakfast and there was plenty of choice. If the weather had been a bit warmer we would have had a bottle of wine in the courtyard garden [very reasonably priced] another good idea. We will definitely stay again.

Short stay before going back home -
I stayed just one night at the townhouse rooms, but enjoyed nevertheless the nice, very quiet room (going to the garden) with the facilities in the breakfast room. Since I had to catch the train very early next morning and no time left for breakfast, I got a generous food-pack on my way with lots of fresh fruit, cheese and rolls, and even some chips. It kept me through the 17 hours of my traintravel back to Switzerland! Thank you!

Short Break in Truro -
Townhouse Rooms were very welcoming. The room was impeccably clean and well equipped, and the bed large, and extremely comfortable. The breakfast room doubled as place where tea and coffee were always available as well as fresh, home-cooked delicious cake!It also provided a guests' fridge and a microwave (which we didn't actually use). With ample parking, and only a stones-throw from the shops and restaurants of central Truro, this was an ideal place for our visit.

And there was plenty:bread, fruit, cheese, and amazing home baked cake and cookies. The room was large, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The bathroom fantastic. The bed exceptionally comfortable, the wifi fast. The location is great for those travelling without a car, you can easily walk downtown or to the train station. Couldn't want for more -
From the friendly welcome with home made cakes and scones to the fabulous bedroom with comfortable bed, luxurious linen and spacious ensuite, you could not wish for more for your stay. The owners are happy to give information about local amenities, recommendations for places to visit and organise taxis. The provision of a guest dining room and tables in the beautiful, peaceful gardens is excellent idea for those who don't want to eat out every night (perhaps lone business travellers like myself) as you can have a ready meal or takeaway. It is also a good way to strike up a conversation with other guests. Your every need was anticipated in the rooms from tea &coffee, biscuits, TV, desk, 2 comfy chairs (many chain hotels have only one comfy chair in a double room), tissues, bathroom toiletries, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, fan, alarm clock and many plug sockets. I'm already looking forward to returning for a holiday rather than a business stay!

Wonderful place, wonderful people -
I don't normally like B&Bs... the rooms are generally over-decorated and lacking in comfort. And I'm not much for chatting with strangers at breakfast. But Townhouse Rooms is a perfect combination of the personal service and affordable prices of a B&B with many hotel-like features, including one of the best showers I've ever used -- strong water pressure even at the top of the house and a good supply of hot water. One of the best features is the fresh baked items in the lounge every afternoon. After a long day of touring, it was lovely to sit and enjoy a fresh raisin scone and a cup of tea.The only downside would be to make sure to book a room large enough for your party... my room was perfect for a solo traveler, but they do offer larger rooms that would be better for a couple.

we had a nice welcome even though we arrived at 9pm. we were given 2 immaculate rooms. We were helped with the luggage the few steps leading to our room. The buffet continental b'fast is self service and very plentiful with lots of sweets included. The room is also open between noon and 10pm where you can help yourself to tea and cakes. The B&B is a charming place and the hosts go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. The place is only a few minutes away from the town centre with all the activities and shops and if you are discouraged by the uphill return walk you can always take a taxi for a mere £3. Townhouse Rooms really exceeded our expectations. The rooms are very comfortable and very tastefully decorated. The location is great. Guests are extremely well looked after - a warm welcome and lots of advice on local eating places and attractions. It's a continental style breakfast buffet, but then not everyone wants a huge cooked breakfast every day! The great bonus is that proper coffee and tea are on tap in the breakfast room all day, with complimentary cakes every afternoon With the option of using the facilities to warm up a ready meal or enjoy a takeaway, this is wonderfully convenient and flexible top quality accommodation.

We revisit the Townhouse several times a year and are never disappointed. The great value for money is achieved by offering a simple self-service breakfast. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable, and we always experience a warm welcome.

Amazing value for money -
We have been regular guests at this hotel for the last few years. We love the stylish, comfortable and clean rooms. On our latest visit we were fortunate to be upgraded to a superb four poster room, which we loved. The amazing value for money is achieved by avoiding wasting money on frills, so breakfast is fully self-service, but the choice of food is good and everything is fresh and good quality. We will definitely be back again!

Absolutely brilliant, exactly what I needed arriving late after a very long journey. Kitchen with snacks to help yourself, luxurious but cosy room, huge comfy bed, dark and quiet when I wanted to sleep, power shower to wake me up in the morning! A lovely welcome-
We have stayed at the Town House on 2 separate occasions now and both times we have had a warm friendly welcome. We have had two different types of room and both were spotlessly clean and well appointed, in fact, better than some big chains we have stayed in!We love the idea the Town House is not the usual type of b&b, being able to get a hot drink or something to eat during the night if you wish. We would recommend the Town House to any friends or family who may happen to want to stay in Truro.

Exceptional comfort and cleanliness. The bed was blissful - and, delightfully, was a *proper* 4 poster, rather than a random addition of a few bits of wood. The bathroom positively dazzled. Every detail has been thought of, there were none of the annoying 'why don't they provide...?' moments. I knew it would be a buffet continental breakfast, and it was very good. But a fresh cooked breakfast would have been icing on a lovely cake.

What we particularly liked was the fact that the breakfast room can be used almost the entire day. Free cake is offered every day and you can always have a cup of tea, hot chocolate or coffee or even have a sandwich or a glass of juice. It is all included in your room rate. There is also a microwave that can be used for preparing your own meal and a fridge where guests can put their own food. In addition, there is a computer with internet access that can be used anytime and without any fee.We definitely recommend the Townhouse Rooms and hope to come back as soon as possible.

Another excellent experience -
The Townhouse offers a home-from-home experience, and conquers the usual feeling of isolation that singles dread in other hotels.Guests engage in conversation, and the hosts nip in and out of the breakfast room and are always happy to share a chat, whilst careful not to intrude.Rooms are very well appointed, whether the four-poster ones or the sleek modern type. The owners have managed to put themselves in the guests' position in optimising all the facilities. Cleanliness is faultless. The use of the breakfast room throughout the day is a great resource, particularly when the day's freshly baked cake appears! The garden and the planters present the house at its best from the very start. If, like me, you've always been a 4* hotel person, this place is a revelation and could change your attitude overnight!

I have stayed in many guesthouses and hotels and the Townhouse surpassed the best of them. The check-in process was efficient, friendly and the receptionist went out of her way to inform me of local restaurants, places of note and to show me around the guest house. The room was large, clean, comfortable and quiet. I have stayed in 5* hotels that have been unable to provide an iron or WiFi, however, both of these services are available at the Townhouse. The location is perfect for visiting Truro city centre since it is a short walk down a hill passing pubs, restaurants and shops before reaching the city centre in under 10 minutes. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending the Townhouse to anyone looking for a fantastic guest house in a great location. I will be staying here again on my next visit to Truro.

The Best -
This must be the cleanest, most comfortable B&B I have experienced. The facilities are excellent - especially the breakfast lounge

Townhouse Rooms -
I had a fabulour room overlooking a beautiful garden - landscaped, parasols, garden house.Lovely idea of self service kitchen for breakfast, and for use any other time of day.Hot drinks machine and lovely home baked cakes and warm scones on arrival.

Excellent room and garden -
As well as enjoying the top class room and the convenient refreshment/breakfast facilities, we also made full use of the relaxed garden area to meet family membersin glorious sunny weather.

We loved the scones in the garden on arrival. The breakfast room was a delight. It is very clean and well stocked and despite being self service it was one of our bestb and b breakfasts this holiday.I would recommend the Townhouse rooms as good value for money.

Long Weekend -
Quiet and very well appointed and serviced room.Reception friendly, efficient and most accommodating. Best selection for 'continental' breakfast I have found. Will definitely stay here again and have already recommended friends to do the same.

Very good -
We were very happy with our accommodation and the relaxed atmosphere at the Town House. Only improvement to this would have been a blind in the bathroom.

Excellent and comfortable -
The room I was given was clean, bright and quiet. The bed was massive and so comfortable. The bathroom was fine. Everyone at the townhouse was incredibly friendly and helpful. Couldn't fault it. Thank you!
